Resin Bronze Gallery - Dancer Dressing

The origins of sculpture began in the bronze age. Today's methods of cold casting creates a true work of art using an intricate mix of bronze and resin. The highest quality casting requires special, closely guarded skills.  Hand crafted by scrupulous artisans in the UK, Peter's original sculpting is able to be retained so that the original modeling may remain unchanged over the next 2,000 years.  Each piece is certificated and personally signed by the artist.

The Evolution Of Dancer Dressing

Why the female nude in bronze? read here

I have a daughter who dances at the Royal Ballet. The girl depicted is not her - it is someone else. This piece is not a portrait so it doesn't matter who it is.

It is the feeling, the reflection which matters. There is a common truth - the truth of adrenalin. My daughter loves attention - being center stage - in the limelight. I hate it. My nerves don't allow. So I'm curious. The odd thing is though that she gets nerves just before she goes on, exactly like I would in the same situation - almost to the extent of running away and not performing. But the show must go on. So she goes on. Then loves it and wants more. If she were just precocious it would be plain annoying. Bravery is about conquering fear - not the absence of it.

Dance like no one's watching, sing like no one's listening.

If somebody, whilst looking at my artwork gets that special feeling of something personal, a flash of recognition, like a bolt of lightning, I'm satisfied, my job done.
